If I might cut in on this, I can give a good one.

Tell the patsy to answer anything you ask with the first thing that 
comes to his mind.  NOT sexist- it only works with males.

Ask the following three questions, rapidly following each answer with 
the next:
"What is 2 plus 2?"
"What is 4 plus 4?"
"What is 8 plus 8?"

Now ask, equally rapidly,
"What is the first vegetable to come to your mind?"

90% of people will say carrots- the reasons are complex and tedious, but 
that's the result.  If you have previously written
"Why did you say carrots?" on a piece of paper, you can really freak 
them out.

If they don't, grumble about their hesitation, which spoiled the line, 
or complain that they didn't choose a vegetable (Tomatoe's a fruit, 
potatoes are tubers, or so on...  Never lose gracelfully.)
